Lifestyle Newborn Photography
A newborn lifestyle session takes place in the comfort of your home, I love this style as it provides an intimate and personal feel to your photos. They are very relaxed, allowing time for feeding, settling and anything else that may come up with baby.
These sessions can be taken anytime within the first 4 weeks and as early as a few days old, it’s entirely up to you and how you’re feeling. However, newborns can be tiring, especially if you have other children, so not everyone feels like having their photos taken so early after giving birth, and that’s ok too! We can work together to make a plan that is best suited for you.
Newborn sessions can last anywhere from an hour to two hours, depending on the needs of the baby.If baby is getting hungry, we can pause for a bottle or nursing session.
*Travel fee of $0.75/km will be added for sessions out of Deep River/Chalk River area*

COMFORT.
I pride myself in becoming your long lost friend pretty quick. It’ll soon feel like I’ve popped over for a catch up and happen to be a rad photographer too. Shooting the session in your home naturally brings along an instant level of comfort from the get go. No stressful car ride with a newborn, all the bits and bobs you need to care for your little one right there next to you. It’s just a reassuring and comforting thing to be able to stay in the warmth of your home and have the photoshoot happen in the place you’ve built a life, a love and a history in.
I won’t be asking you to do the cheesy stuff
I’m not going to be getting you to look at the camera and smile. It’s just not what I’m about.
I’ll be looking to have you interacting with each other and with your little one.
Don’t worry I won’t leave you hanging, of course I’ll give you guidance for what to do and
how to cozy up for all the cute and intimate shots. They’ll just be all focused on creating connection.

Editing is amazing and yes I edit your photos. I’m sure you’ve checked out my Lifestyle Newborn work and got a good sense of my style.
After your session I will be working hard to edit them into works of art.
I edit your photos for tone, exposure, contrast and light skin touch ups like spot removals and so on.
I do not over edit. My goal is to create a cohesive album of gorgeous photos that look like you, that capture your new baby just as they are.
